They lead to a hidden button on the opposite side of the island. You need at least two players to finish the puzzle. One player has to hold the hidden button at the coordinates while another remains at the original puzzle box and takes the collectible when the glass opens.
The easiest way to locate the button is with the paper map unlocked through the Red Tower, although the GPS near the Green Tower can also take you directly to the coordinates.

Once you know that the numbers are coordinates, the puzzle becomes much easier. The main difficulty is that the hidden button is far away from the locked box, so split your group before making the trip.
- Find the glass container with the 4166, 1899 sign.
- Leave one player beside the locked container.
- Take the foldable map from the Map Room, or use the GPS.
- Travel toward the south-central part of the island.
- Find the area where the railway curves near the ski lift tunnel.
- Search the nearby rocks for a small camouflaged button.
- Press and keep holding the button.
- Have the player waiting at the original puzzle take the red collectible from the now-open container.
2. Get the Map Before Going to 4166, 1899

The foldable paper map is the easiest tool for finding 4166, 1899. It becomes available after progressing through the Red Tower and opening the Map Room near the starting hub.
Complete enough puzzles to collect the five red gourd-shaped puzzle collectibles required by the Red Tower. Take all five to the tower and place them into the machine on its roof. Completing this part gives you the key used for the Map Room.
The key then needs to be shaped using the nearby key cutters before it can open the Map Room entrance. Inside the Map Room, there are two useful navigation tools.
The huge 3D island map shows the island and its major locations, while the portable foldable map on the table has the numbered coordinate grid you need for the 4166, 1899 puzzle. Take the portable map with you.

Opening the foldable map reveals numbers running around its edges. The puzzle’s four-digit numbers provide a more precise position than the map’s visible two-digit grid labels.
Start by finding the 41 and 18 coordinate lines. Their intersection puts you in the correct grid area, east and south of the starting hub. The remaining digits narrow down your position within that grid square.
For 4166, the final 66 moves the target roughly two-thirds of the way through the relevant grid section. The 99 in 1899 places it extremely close to the far edge of the grid, almost directly along the next gridline.
Use the GPS to Find 4166, 1899
There is a second solution if you do not want to navigate by manually reading the paper map. A GPS device can display your current coordinates and lets you walk directly toward 4166, 1899.
The GPS is found near the Green Tower, just outside the tower area in a red frame. More specifically, it is around the Green Tower and ski lift area. The device can be held up for another player to read or attached to someone’s backpack.
3. Find the Hidden Button at 4166, 1899

The target is in the south-central portion of the island, well away from the glass container where the puzzle begins. Look for the section where the railway curves around the landscape and the ski lift disappears into a tunnel.
Once you reach that area, concentrate on the nearby cluster of rocks. The button is attached to the side of the rocks and intentionally blends into the environment, making it easy to walk straight past.
Do not search railway switches, the ski lift station, or the tunnel entrance for a keypad. The actual interaction is a small physical button on the rock formation.
4. Open the 4166, 1899 Glass Box
Solving the Number Puzzle
The long distance between the hidden button and the glass container is the actual cooperative part of the puzzle. The two interactions need to happen at the same time.
Have one player stay beside the 4166, 1899 container while the other reaches the hidden button. Once both players confirm that they are in position, the player at the rocks needs to press and hold the button rather than immediately releasing it.
Holding the button opens the frosted-glass container back at the original puzzle location. The waiting player can then reach inside and take the puzzle collectible. After it has been collected, the button player can let go.
