To reach it, you need to continue the same save, solve every remaining normal puzzle, complete all seven post-game Purple Puzzles, turn in the final 15 collectibles, and use the resulting White Key near the starting area.
There is no branching choice between the two endings. Big Goodbye must be completed first, after which the post-game content becomes available and you can continue toward the true ending without starting another playthrough.
1. How Many Endings Are There in Big Walk?
There are two endings in Big Walk. Big Goodbye finishes the normal journey through the island, while Big Game is the full-completion ending earned after clearing everything the game has to offer.
| Ending | Requirement | Trophy / Achievement |
|---|---|---|
| Big Goodbye | Complete the main tower route, pass the Wall, finish the Black Sphere, and reach the normal finale | Big Goodbye |
| Big Game | Get Big Goodbye, complete every normal puzzle and all seven Purple Puzzles, turn in the final collectibles, and use the White Key | Big Game |
2. How to Get the Big Goodbye Normal Ending
You need to reach Big Goodbye before the true ending becomes available. This requires completing the main tower progression, unlocking the Black Tower, obtaining its key, and opening the Wall leading toward the enormous Black Sphere.
- Complete the opening area and lower the Drawbridge.
- Collect enough red puzzle rewards to complete the main colored towers.
- Use their keys to activate the Map Room, Chairlift, Tunnels, and Train.
- Complete the Black Tower and collect the Black Key.
- Take the Black Key to the Wall and open the gate.
- Follow the path beyond the Wall toward the giant Black Sphere.
- Enter the Sphere and complete its cooperative puzzles.
- Reach the final chamber and activate the last mechanism.
- Leave the opened Sphere and follow the route across the water.
- Complete the final sequence to unlock Big Goodbye.
What Happens After the Big Goodbye Ending?
Continue your existing save after Big Goodbye instead of starting a new world. The island remains accessible, the Black Sphere stays broken open, and seven new Purple Puzzles become available for the post-game completion route.
3. Complete All Seven Purple Puzzles
The seven Purple Puzzles only become available after completing the normal ending. They are harder variations of the cooperative challenges found throughout the main game and reward the seven purple collectibles needed for 100% completion.
| Purple Puzzle | Solution |
|---|---|
| 30-Minute Timer | Start the timer and return after 30 minutes. |
| Heavy Object / Golf Course | Bring the heavy object back to the Purple goal. |
| Light Wall | Number the 16 lights and signal the correct one. |
| Music Box | Number the instruments and signal which one to bring. |
| Shape Matching | Number the nine objects and place each in the matching slot. |
| Number Code | Remove wrong tiles and place the correct numbers. |
| Purple Flag Pole | Push the object through the course to the finish. |
4. Where to Put the Purple Collectibles
Take the eight red and seven purple collectibles to the large green completion structure near the Tutorial/Map Room area. It has 15 slots, one for each remaining reward.
This is not the Green Tower used to activate the Chairlift. Look around the starting/Map Room area near the red train line for the separate green building. The 15 empty receptacles inside confirm that you have found the correct structure. Place all 15 rewards into the available slots.
5. How to Get the White Key
Finishing the final collection requirement produces the White Key, which is used for the true-ending route. If the key has not appeared, the game has not accepted your world as fully complete.
Where to Use the White Key
Take the White Key back to the initial Tutorial/spawn area. The small black sphere there will now be split open, exposing a key slot connected to the hidden completion route.
- Return to the starting/tutorial area.
- Find the split black sphere and exposed key slot.
- Insert the White Key.
- Enter the newly opened hidden route.
- Follow the stairs into the final completion room.
- Stay inside while the final sequence plays.
- Wait for the bright white opening to appear.
- Walk through it to finish the true ending.
6. How to Get the Big Game True Ending
The final room contains a very different conclusion from Big Goodbye. Instead of another complicated puzzle, the game presents a short message reflecting on the journey you completed with the other players.
Remain in the room until the sequence finishes. A bright white opening eventually appears behind the group. Walk through it and stay in the ending sequence until the completion screen appears. This unlocks the Big Game trophy or achievement and confirms that the full-completion ending has registered.
