Every paid heist DLC in PAYDAY 3 will be delisted on August 25, 2026, and the purchase window will not reopen. Starbreeze is folding all seven heists into the base game with the September Update, so the missions themselves stop being a reason to spend money.
The reason to buy today is ownership. Anyone holding a heist DLC before the cut-off receives the S40 “Partisan” pistol variant plus a preset mask tied to each heist on the account, and those cosmetics have no other unlock route.
1. PAYDAY 3 Heist DLC Delisting Date and What It Covers
Syntax Error Heist
The delisting date is August 25, 2026, and it includes every paid heist DLC and every bundle that contains one. Existing purchases stay on your account untouched. The announcement gives a date but no cut-off time, so August 24 is the last full day when a purchase is certain to arrive in time.
The change is tied to the game’s third anniversary in September. All seven paid heists join the base game in that update, along with every future heist, which ends the ownership checks that currently split lobbies between players who bought a mission and players who did not.
Storefronts Included in the Delisting
Shopping Spree Heist
The removal applies to all storefronts rather than to a single platform. Steam, the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox Store drop the listings on the same date, so buying from a different platform is not a workaround after the deadline passes.
Do You Lose Heist DLC You Already Own?
No. Existing owners keep full access to every heist DLC after August 25. Delisting removes only store listings, so nothing is removed from libraries, and every purchased heist remains playable during and after the transition.
Owned DLC also counts toward the September reward items. Purchases made inside a bundle carry the same weight as a standalone heist purchase, so a chapter bundle bought in 2024 still registers the heist it contained.

Owning a single heist DLC unlocks the S40 “Partisan” pistol variant, and it is moddable rather than a locked preset. Moddable variants accept attachments through normal weapon customization, which puts them within reach of real loadouts instead of leaving them as display pieces.
One heist DLC and all seven deliver the same pistol. This reward does not stack, so a player who buys a single $4.99 heist gets the identical weapon as a player who owns the full set.
Preset Masks for Each Heist DLC

Each individual heist DLC on your account delivers one unique preset mask themed on that specific heist. Three heists mean three masks. One heist means one mask.
Preset masks ship in fixed designs and do not take patterns or colors the way mould masks do. The seven heist masks shown with the announcement are named Blue Screen of Joy, Dusted, Night-Heron, Stock Jockey, Snow Angel, Grillz, and Clearance Sale.
Flame Keeper Mask for All Seven Heists
Owning all seven heist DLCs adds the “Flame Keeper” preset mask on top of the seven heist masks and the Partisan pistol. It is the only reward gated behind a complete set, and completing that set requires action before August 25.
Bundle purchases count toward the total. A chapter bundle delivers the heist inside it exactly as a standalone purchase does, so partial collections built years ago already sit partway there.

Buy only if you want the cosmetics. Every heist arrives free in September regardless of what you spend now, so the entire value of a purchase today sits in the Partisan pistol and the preset masks. Mask collectors face a real deadline. Everyone else has no reason to open their wallet.

One heist DLC at $4.99 is the cheapest entry point to the Partisan pistol, and any of the seven qualifies. Pick the heist whose mask you most want, since each mask design is tied to its specific DLC and there is no way to choose otherwise.
Skip If You Only Want the Heists
Skipping costs nothing in content. Every delisted heist becomes part of the base game in the September Update, including for players who own zero DLC and for anyone who buys PAYDAY 3 months from now.
Free heists also clear the current lobby restriction. Non-owners can presently play a paid heist only when invited by a friend who owns it, and that gate disappears once the heists move into the base game.

- Match against the seven heists. Check for the word Heist in each name, because weapon packs and tailor packs share the same chapter titles.
That last step catches the most common error. Owning the Syntax Error Weapon Pack is not the same as owning the Syntax Error Heist, and only the heist counts toward a mask. On PlayStation and Xbox, the add-ons page for PAYDAY 3 marks owned items as purchased.

The delisting is one piece of a larger anniversary release. September marks three years since PAYDAY 3 launched, and the update pairs the free heists with several broader additions.
