Capacitors are one of the rarest progression resources in Star Wars Zero Company because they are required for important permanent upgrades at the Upgrade Facility in the Den. Unlike Credits or Intel, you cannot simply buy Capacitors or repeatedly grind an unlimited source.
Instead, you need to collect the limited Capacitor rewards available through missions, Zone Influence milestones, and specific Operation choices.
The most important habit is to check every mission and Operation reward before advancing a Cycle. Some Capacitor opportunities can disappear if you skip them or choose a different reward branch.
1. How to Get Capacitors in Star Wars Zero Company
There are three main ways to get Capacitors: completing missions that list them as rewards, reaching specific Zone Influence tiers, and choosing Capacitor rewards during Operations. Capacitors are generally one-time campaign rewards rather than something you can repeatedly farm.
| Capacitor Source | How to Get It |
|---|---|
| Mission Rewards | Complete story or optional missions showing a Capacitor under Rewards |
| Zone Influence | Reach specific Influence tiers in Zone Herf and Zone Dorn |
| Operations | Choose the reward branch that includes a Capacitor |
2. Get Capacitors From Mission Rewards
Mission rewards are the most straightforward source of Capacitors. Both story missions and optional missions can include them, so do not automatically select the next story objective without checking the other available nodes first.
- Go to the Holotable in the Den.
- Select each currently available mission.
- Check the Rewards section on its mission card.
- Look for +1 Capacitor or another Capacitor reward.
- Prioritize that mission if you need Capacitors for an important Den upgrade.
- Successfully complete the mission to receive the reward.
Smugglers’ Den Capacitor Reward
One confirmed story mission that rewards a Capacitor is Smugglers’ Den, which appears during the Jedi Undercover storyline at Courtsilius.
- +1 Capacitor
- +3,000 Credits
Do not rely only on this mission, however. Optional contracts can also offer Capacitors, and their availability can change as you progress through Cycles.
3. Get Capacitors From Zone Influence
Zone Influence is one of the easiest Capacitor sources to overlook because the reward does not necessarily come from an individual mission. Instead, increasing Influence in a region pushes that Zone through reward tiers, some of which contain Capacitors.
You can increase Zone Influence through missions, Operations, Contacts, and some campaign decisions. Before picking an Influence reward, check how close the relevant Zone is to its next tier.
The standard Influence thresholds are:
| Influence Tier | Required Influence |
|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 20 |
| Tier 2 | 30 |
| Tier 3 | 50 |
For Capacitors, focus particularly on Zone Herf and Zone Dorn.
| Zone | Required Tier | Capacitor Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Zone Herf | Tier 1 | +1 Capacitor |
| Zone Dorn | Tier 2 | +2 Capacitors |
4. Get Capacitors From Operations
Operations can provide several additional Capacitors throughout the campaign, but these are particularly easy to miss because many Operations give you a choice between multiple outcomes. Picking the alternative reward can permanently give up the Capacitor for that playthrough.
| Operation | Choice | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Back Channels | Runa’s Connection | +1 Capacitor, random Exquisite Utility Item, unlocks Storm Basin Mission |
| Quid Pro Quo | Send a Team | +1 Capacitor, +4 Zone Herf Influence, +125 Den Level |
| Job Ain’t Done | Steal Equipment Records | +1 Capacitor, +6 Zone Esk Influence, +1,000 Credits |
| Forgotten Call | Salvage It | +1 Capacitor, +250 Credits |
| Ship Adrift I | Steal His Capacitor | +1 Capacitor |
5. Best Way to Farm Capacitors
Capacitors cannot really be farmed in the traditional sense, because their supply comes from finite campaign rewards rather than infinitely repeatable activities. The goal is therefore to maximize how many Capacitors you collect before their opportunities disappear.
- Check every Holotable mission before selecting one.
- Prioritize any mission showing a Capacitor reward.
- Check the Influence tab and push Zone Herf toward Tier 1.
- Push Zone Dorn toward Tier 2 for the valuable +2 Capacitor reward.
- Review every Operation outcome before choosing a branch.
- Take the Capacitor option when it does not interfere with a more important campaign objective.
- Avoid advancing Cycles while a useful time-limited Capacitor mission is still available.
6. What Capacitors Are Used For
Capacitors are primarily used for important permanent upgrades at the Upgrade Facility in the Den. They are separate from Credits and are deliberately much scarcer, which makes wasting them on low-priority upgrades more costly.
You can see your current Capacitor total alongside your other resources, while upgrades requiring them display their Capacitor and Credit costs at the Upgrade Facility.
Because the resource is limited, collect Capacitors whenever practical but spend them according to your Den upgrade plan.
